In snapdrive i can run the sdcli command. But i can find the same commands in snapcenter

Is it possible to use SnapDiff with SnapLock Enterprise? Under the hood, both are FlexVol based, but there is no documentation that links both features. The customer uses Commvault as backup solution.

We have SC and the SC Vsphere plugin (both v4.4) and plan to start backing up MS SQL dBs on the Vm guests using SC. normally when we do this for physical SQL servers the agents on the SQL server need to be able to communicate direct to the relevant Storage SVM to orchestrate the snapshots/snapmirrors etc.
As I understand it when the Server is a VM the snapshot is orchestrated via the Vsphere plug-in host and not the SC agent on the host so is the comms path from the Agent to the SVM hosting the VMDK files/VMFS volumes still required?
I assume the storage discovery is undertaken via the Vssphere plug-in and not direct from the Agents on the hosts?
Any confirmation or pointers to documentation that explains the steps SC uses for VM guest backup would be good and save a lot of trial and error/additional work

Need to attach HP MSL 2024 tape library to A400 via FC switch (2 x LTO-7 drives) for NDMP backups via Netbackup.
Since the HP MSL 2024 does not have any separate FC connection for robotic arm, am I supposed to create Switch zone with NetApp port, Tape Drive FC port and the Netbackup Media server HBA port in the same zone? please advise me on this connectivity/architecture.
In our existing environment, old HP 712E Tape library is having a separate FC connection for the robotics, that is zoned to Media server HBA port . Which I am missing in the new MSL 2024 Tape library.

During SC 4.4P1 installation, SC package installation was successful and in later step MySQL installation also successful however, it is filed to "SET PASSWORD: Exception: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061):
No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:3306" and rolled back the installation.
Port 3306 is opened on the server, I have tested by installing the MySQL separately on the server and it was installed successfully. But when it come during SC installation, fails with the above error. I have attached the installation log for your reference.

Is it at all possible to get the physical file path for a DB's .mdf and .ldf files via SnapCenter Powershell? It seems SC *knows* the path since it shows it when one does a "migrate" on a DB. The migrate wizard shows the current physical file paths for the .mdf and .ldf and asks the user to input new paths. Either SC has that info in its DB already or does a quick query of the instance to get that info. How can that info be pulled from SC's brain via Powershell?

E:\mssql\mssql.mdf
F:\mssql\mssql.ldf
We are running a new instance of MYSQL 8.0. SnapCenter 4.5 with MYSQL Plugin v2 fail during the discovery process...Do we have a list of supported version of the MYSQL Plugin.
I have Snapcenter 4.3.2. i want to make guest file restore. Snapshot is mounted sucessfully but after restore i have empty Folder no file is in Folder.

A while back we upgraded from SC 4.0 and are now running 4.4 however when we go to restore a VM for example it lists all backups since 2019. Is there an easy method to purge these? I'm not seeing the "Cleanup" process in the vCenter SC task logs but I've verified with support through the API that the cron job is configured. Can the cleanup be ran manually like on the SC server but on the SCV Plugin? Due to this, selecting a backup for restore takes quite a while due to the size of the backup list.

Have a very strange issue using Snapcenter v4.4 to backup MS SQL databases. We have 4 servers with 2 each in 2 resource groups each with 3 policies applied with schedules.
The schedules are set to run from the MS SQL agent via the snapCenter GUI and I can see them in MS SQL on each server.
On 1 server 1 of the jobs works fine and the other 2 never seem to run, on the other server 2 jobs run fine as per schedule and the 3rd never seems to run.
There are no errors in the logs, or joblauncherlog
if I execute the agent jobs from MS SQL manually they run fine.
Seems strange that all 6 jobs have been created automatically via snapcenter using the same creds etc and yet 3 do not run.
Have I hit a known issue/bug and if so has anyone found a work around for this?

We are using Snapcenter v4.4 and testing restore scenarios for a SQL DB. the DB is large and has 4 files (2TB Each) each on a separate LUN/volume and 1 log file on another separate lun/volume. all are connected to physical hosts over iSCSI
When restoring a Snapcenter backup to an alternate host we are seeing something very strange, the first lun/volume restore is actioned in less than a minute, but the remainder take hours each, meaning we have a restore time of almost 12 hours,
Any ideas why we are seeing the time difference between lun/volume restore times when they are on the same cluster with what appears to be the same configuration?
Or any suggestions how we can get the other volumes to restore in minutes like the first?

we are running SC 4.5 to backup SQL server.
It's installed and running well.
Retention is set to 4 days for full and 4 day for UTM restore.
I noticed that in the server log volume (where the TBD files are) the snapshots are piling up.
At the moment there are 452 snapshot in the volume.
It's mentioned to set the LOG_SNAPSHOT value using the CMDLET. But it seems it's no longer supported to do so.

The OSDP feature is deprecated from the Commvault software in V11 SP15 and or similar functionality, use block-level backups.

There is an issue where we are unable to remove an SVM peer relationship so we can destroy the SVM.
The SVM is peered:
praesdc1 praesdc2 peered dc2-tier1-cluster1
snapmirror praesdc2
When trying to delete the peer relationship we get the following error "Error: command failed: Relationship is in use by SnapMirror iocal cluster. Use the "Snapmirror list-destinations" command to view the relationship"
Checking we do not see a Snapmirror relationship. I have been advised that the volumes were deleted before the relationship was broken.
Is there any way be can break the peer relationship when we dont see a Snapmirror relationship

is it possible to move Storage Snapshots, taken by SnapCenter, directly to Ceph S3 Storage using Fabric Pool?
If yes, how can configure it? Do I need to add an "others" Cloud Tier as shown in the picture below?
This PDF says that there is the option to use StorageGrid or Ceph S3 with fabric Pool (Blue box on page 18),
hence my assumption that it does not need a StorageGrid to user fabric pool with Ceph S3 Storage.
